Following the second consultation for the above proposal, which concluded on the 12 May 2023, a number of correspondences were received from residents and the emergency services, for which we were grateful.
To discuss the comments received, a meeting took place on 15 June, between Suffolk County Council and Aldeburgh Town Councillors, to try and reduce the concerns raised. Suffolk County Council have amended the proposals to reflect some of the comments received and are now proposing to implement the revised scheme in the interest of road safety.
The revision includes the following.
In addition to the above. A traffic survey had been undertaken between 10 to 16 August, this will record the volume, speed, type of vehicles and times, to show peak periods. This will enable us to have a greater understanding of the network usage.
