Have you ever thought about becoming a celebrant to conduct legal and non-legal ceremonies?
If you have ever attended a ceremony and thought about the person who orchestrated it so beautifully, that person could have been one of our highly trained celebrants or registrars. Our team help mark important occasions and relationships and conduct personalised weddings at Register Offices (ROs), Approved Premises (APs, such as hotels and country estates) as well as celebration packages (which means that you can do the legal bit at one of our ROs then have a full ceremony where you want it to be), civil partnership and renewal of vows ceremonies across Suffolk.
We also conduct group and private citizenship ceremonies on behalf of the home office – a truly humbling occasion.
Who we're looking for
Becoming a celebrant registrar can be a flexible and rewarding career path. In Suffolk we aim for high standard and quality in the celebrants we send to our ceremonies, and the following are key skills that help make the perfect celebrant:
- excellent presentation skills, public speaking and communication
- excellent time management skills, you need to be punctual, well-organised, and able to manage your time and diary well
- you must be able to work to tight deadlines
- you should have a good level of personal assurance, to ensure the ceremony runs smoothly
- your English needs to be high standard
