Two-vehicle RTC on A14 eastbound at junction 47 for Elmswell

At round 6:30 this morning, there was a two vehicle RTC on the eastbound carriageway of the A14.

At 6:37am SFRS was contacted by the police, who originally reported people trapped in vehicles.

Crews from Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich East were mobilised. By the time they arrived on scene, occupants from both cars were out of their vehicles so firefighters made the scene and vehicles safe.

 The incident initially blocked both carriageways, with police opening lane two sometime around 7:30am.

A stop was called at 07:23am and the incident was closed 10 minutes later.
