Road traffic collision in Rougham

Crews were called to a road traffic collision in Rougham. On arrival, firefighters found a single vehicle in a ditch with one casualty trapped and suffering from chest and hip pain. A passer-by was helping the casualty and the engine had detached from the vehicle and was laying, smoking, 10 metres from the scene. Crews used cutting gear to release the casualty from the vehicle. They were left in the care of paramedics while the scene was made safe. The incident ended at 6:22pm.
