The public consultation has now closed. We are currently speaking to key stakeholder groups, including local residents.

What were we consulting on?

To create a more accessible space for pedestrians and cyclists which is free of motorised vehicles at the rail bridge, providing an easier and safer cycling and walking route between the residential areas, the high school and the hospital.

Next steps

Once the stakeholder work is complete we will review all responses from this and the wider consultation to inform future decisions regarding this road closure.
