West End Road (Ipswich) - Bus lane

Suffolk County Council is keen to support the Government’s national bus strategy (Bus Back Better), helping to reduce the impact of congestion, carbon emissions, pollution and the health implications of poor air quality.

To achieve this goal, buses need to provide a fast, efficient and reliable service to encourage more people to use the service and reduce the number of cars in the town. The West End Road bus lane in Ipswich will help provide a more reliable bus journey time to the Copdock park and ride.

As part of the experimental traffic regulation order, this survey provides the opportunity to feedback your thoughts on the provision of the West End Road bus lane.

The consultation survey is now closed. We will review the feedback from the survey and the impact on traffic throughout the first 6 months, this will help inform the decision as to whether the bus lane will be made permanent.
