Personal Protective Equipment for frontline workers in Suffolk

How to order, use and dispose of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) safely.

A central Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) team is managing our response to the PPE needs across Suffolk. The team is co-ordinating getting equipment to our critical frontline teams as a priority.
Email PPE@suffolk.gov.uk if you have any questions.

Ordering PPE

  1. In a first instance, you should try to obtain PPE through your own supply chain
  2. If your supplier is not able to fulfil or only partly fulfil your order then you should order through the DHSC portal if applicable
  3. If you still require further PPE check 'who can order PPE' (below) to see if you're eligible to order PPE through the cell

How to dispose of use of PPE

DHSC has launched a guidance page on the PPE Portal, to help provide information to those invited to register and order emergency PPE through the site.

The guidance can be found on the gov.uk website

The guidance details who is eligible to register with the portal, how the order process works and what customers should expect from the portal.

Please ensure that all eligible providers regularly check their email accounts registered with the CQC/MHRA in order to ensure that the email invitation is received and actioned.

Any queries about the portal can be made through the PPE Dedicated Supply Channel Customer Service team on 0800 876 6802.
