Adult Social Care CQC Inspection – Suffolk Update

This year, Suffolk County Council, alongside other local authorities in England will be assessed under the Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) new Single Assessment Framework. These new local authority assessments allow the CQC to provide independent assurance to people of the quality of care in their area. It assesses how local authorities meet their duties under Part 1 of the Care Act (2014). You can read more about the framework on the CQC’s official guidance page. We’re pleased to confirm that Suffolk County Council has submitted its self-assessment to the CQC completing the first stage of the assessment process which continues over several months.

We are particularly proud of the voices of people, carers and partners and the difference we help to make by supporting people to live fulfilled and independent lives.

The self-assessment shows the things we do well and highlights those areas we are focusing on to further improve our services to promote and support the health and wellbeing outcomes for Suffolk residents.
