Healthy living service

A service to support children and young people overcome the barriers to achieve a healthy weight.

From 1 October 2023, the Community Health Team in Children and Young People’s Service will include a Child Healthy Living Service.

The service offers support to children, young people, and their parents to help remove the barriers to achieving a healthy weight and ways to overcome those challenges.

The service supports families with children aged 0 – 19 who are overweight (on the 91st to the 97.9th BMI centile)

You can measure your child using the body mass index (BMI) calculator. Your BMI is a measurement that uses height and weight to work out if your weight is healthy.

As part of the service, we can also support Infant Feeding from antenatal onwards.
