Proposed Elmswell Community Primary School Expansion to 420 Places

Our consultation on a proposal to expand Elmswell Community Primary School to 420 places between 17 May - 28 May 2021.

This consultation is now closed.

Recent and proposed housing developments in the Elmswell and Woolpit areas has led to an increase in demand for primary school places in those areas. In order to mitigate much of the development in Elmswell Suffolk County Council is consulting on a proposal to expand Elmswell Community Primary School from 315 to 420 places and alter the Published Admission Number (PAN) from 45 to 60 from September 2022.

This non-statutory consultation will enable us to gather the views of families of pupils, staff at the school, governors, Early Years settings and other interested parties. If there is support for the proposal the county council will publish a statutory proposal in due course.
