Chantry Academy Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Unit pre-application planning consultation

Our pre-application planning consultation on a proposal to open a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Unit between 22 and 26 March 2021..

Suffolk County Council consulted on a proposal to construct a SEND Unit at Chantry Academy for up to 18 pupils in Key Stages 3 and 4. The proposal includes construction of a new standalone block to provide two classrooms, two small group rooms and toilets. The proposal also includes associated additional staff/visitor parking on the site.

This non-statutory pre-application planning consultation will enable us to gather the views of parents, local residents and potential building users prior to the submission of the planning application and does not affect the right to comment on the proposals during the statutory planning consultation process.

Please note, a further, separate, pre-planning consultation will be held shortly on proposals to expand Chantry Academy to 1050 places.
