Suffolk County Council consulted on a proposal to expand the accommodation at Chantry Academy from 900 places to 1050 places. The proposal includes internal remodelling and the construction of a new two-storey standalone block to provide additional classrooms and specialist teaching spaces, together with ancillary facilities and additional staff and visitor parking.
This non-statutory pre-application planning consultation will enable us to gather the views of parents, local residents and potential building users prior to the submission of the planning application and does not affect the right to comment on the proposals during the statutory planning consultation process.
Please note, this consultation is a further, separate, pre-planning consultation to the recent SEND unit consultation.
