Bungay High School expansion to 1050 places pre-application planning consultation

Our pre-application planning consultation on a proposal to expand Bungay High School to 1050 places between 19 April - 10 May 2021.

This consultation is now closed.

Suffolk County Council (SCC) consulted on a proposal to expand Bungay High School. The proposal includes a new standalone two storey teaching block, with dining facilities and ancillary rooms. There will also be reconfiguration of areas within the existing school buildings and external changes to improve pedestrian access and parking. The proposed expansion increases capacity from 900 pupils to 1050 pupils (ages 11-16), scheduled for September 2022.

This non-statutory pre-application planning consultation will enable us to gather the views of parents, local residents and potential building users prior to the submission of the planning application and does not affect the right to comment on the proposals during the statutory planning consultation process.
