Funding programmes

European funding programmes for the period 2014 to 2020 are currently under development. All funding programmes are not expected to start until 2015.

EU Structural and Investment Funds available to the UK for 2014 to 2020 have been notionally allocated to Local Enterprise Partnerships to invest in local growth strategies. New Anglia has been allocated around £94 million (€110.8 million) of EU funding for investment in Suffolk and Norfolk.

Details of funding can be found in the European Structural and Investment Fund Strategies guidance (PDF, 44.8KB). Funding will include support for innovation, business competitiveness, low carbon economy, skills, employment and social inclusion.

Suffolk is also eligible for a number of other EU funded programmes for projects that involved other EU countries, primarily Flanders, northern France, and the Netherlands.
