Jovian Way in Ipswich

Following several requests from local residents to close Jovian Way, we wrote to all residents on Jovian Way and adjoining roads.

We asked for their feedback on closing Jovian Way in Ipswich to motorised traffic to reduced the amount of unnecessary through traffic and to create more space for pedestrians and cyclists.

As a result of the feedback, a trial road closure will be in place from 7 April 2021. The road will be closed to motorised traffic from 14 metres South of Thebe Close.

Once in place, Suffolk County Council would like to hear your feedback on how the trial is working.

This is your opportunity to make a formal representation in support of, to suggest changes or to object to the success of the trial.

You can comment on the workings of the trial by completing the survey.

The trial will be in place for a minimum 6 months (maximum 18 months) period.

All comments must be received by the survey’s current close date of 22 September 2021. All views will be taken into account when deciding upon future actions.
