About the conference 2016

In November 2016, the Join the Fight conference was held jointly by Norfolk and Suffolk Trading Standards services.

This dynamic conference, in its second year, brought together these two County Trading Standards Services and regional partners to raise awareness of how vital it is we join together to fight scams. Delegates enjoyed a varied agenda featuring many different scams including scam phone calls, scam mail, online scams and rogue doorstep traders.

In 2016 as well as looking at how we can better identify and assist scam victims we focused on exploring the much wider impact of scams on our communities.

Our delegates had the opportunity to hear from a wide range of excellent guest speakers, took part in our two workshops and offered valuable insight on how we can work together even more effectively together.

With delegates representing over 50 different local, regional and national organisations and services there was plenty opportunity for networking with colleagues from other organisations and to explore how together we can tackle scams and rogue trading.
