Short Term Enablement Service

We can put in place short-term support to enable you to gain or re-gain skills, confidence and independence and meet your goals. This may be in the areas of benefits, managing money, independent living, staying safe, training, education, finding out what you are good at and housing.

Work Well Suffolk

Work Well Suffolk is a project that provides support to help people into employment by tackling barriers that they may face. It can provide help to engage in education and training for those over 18 and is aimed at people with learning disabilities and/or autism.

Digital Care

Technology is available to support your daily life. We are able to offer a range of personalised technology and devices to address specific needs. People will soon be able to purchase this privately, and in some circumstances, it can be funded as part of their Personal Budget. Whilst we work hard to support people to remain or regain their independence, sometimes it’s necessary for us to commission a service, in order for your eligible Care Act needs to be met.

Our services

We work with a range of providers to provide:

  • day time opportunities
  • planned short breaks
  • home care
  • residential care
  • supported housing

Day time opportunities

We commission day time opportunities to encompass a number of activities and facilities. These aim to meet the needs of the people that attend them through opportunities to learn or develop areas of independence and new skills, to socialise and engage in the wider community, taking part in leisure and recreational activities and support with developing employment skills.

Home care

Homecare care and support provided by a professional caregiver in the individual home where the person is living, as opposed to care provided in group accommodations residential homes. Homecare is also known as domiciliary care.

Residential care

A residential care home provides accommodation together with personal care. A person with a learning disability will have a room in a building shared with a number of other people. Twenty-four-hour care will be provided on site and meals will be included.

Supported Housing

Supported living is a service designed to help people with a wide range of support needs retain their independence by being supported in their own home. People in supported living have their own tenancy and are responsible for their own bills and cost of living. We make sure they have support to stay safe.
