Our role is to help people apply to the main external funding sources: Europe, the Lottery, charitable trusts and the Government.

We have helped to secure an average of £28 million of external funding per annum into the county over the last three years. This funding is focussed on service improvement (especially in rural areas), innovation, community development and access to high speed Broadband services.

Our External Funding Specialists have been central to this external funding success with their prime role being the facilitation of applications to the principal external funding sources.

External funding services include regular funding updates and fact sheets, signposting to funding sources, Grantfinder and other web based services, detailed support and assistance in preparing funding applications, organisational and business development advice, and high level liaison and negotiation with funding bodies on behalf of the public, private and voluntary sectors in Suffolk.

Specialists can also provide some support on a paid for basis such as detailed evaluation, implementation and detailed ongoing business case development and implementation.
