The Suffolk Observatory is a partnership between local authorities, the police and the NHS in Suffolk.
The website is home to a wide range of statistics, information and analysis about our county that has either been provided by Suffolk County Council or one of the other partner organisations. We hold information on crime, deprivation, the economy and employment, education and skills, housing, health and care, transport and travel and the shape of the population of Suffolk, with easy to use themes and sections that make the website easy to use and understand.
The Suffolk Observatory is home to the State of Suffolk Report; a report that covers a huge range of topics about our county, our communities and our issues, as well as the Suffolk Economic Tracer, which holds a vast amount of information on the current shape of our local economy.
From 16 July 2012 the Office for National Statistics is publishing the 2011 Census results, starting with the headline figures. The Observatory is going to host many of the results for Suffolk; to find these simply pick a theme and look for the Census label. The equivalent figures from the 2001 Census are presented alongside for comparison.
