‘Taster’ course for aspiring secondary school teachers, for
members of the Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) community – March
2012
Suffolk’s Teacher Recruitment Service (TRS) will be running a
three day ‘taster’ course for members of the BME community who are
considering a career as a teacher in a secondary school.
This course is supported by St Alban’s Catholic High School in
Ipswich, where the course will be based, and the Suffolk and
Norfolk Initial Teacher Training (SNITT) team.
The course will have two ‘taught’ days (26th and 28th March
2012, at St Alban’s), with 27th March being spent in a Suffolk High
or Upper School.
Course participants should be graduates (or be an undergraduate
who is due to complete their degree within a year) and have GCSE
English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade C or above.
