Suffolk Children's University
(SCU) |
What is the SCU?
SCU is one of a number of
National Children's
Universities. SCU is supported by Suffolk County Council and
aims to unite all activity providers from the public, private,
voluntary and community sectors.
It is a Suffolk County Council requirement that all our activity
providers meet our safeguarding obligations. It is a requirement
that all our providers have in place relevant policies and
procedures, and supply copies of insurances, where applicable, to
ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children and young
people.
|

If you are aged between 5 and 14, SCU gives you the
opportunity to take part in a variety of different activities
outside of normal school hours (i.e. before school, at lunchtimes,
after school, evenings, weekends and school holidays).
By experiencing new and exciting opportunities you can meet new
friends, gain confidence improve your self-esteem and feel part of
your community, all whilst working towards special achievement
certificates.
There are many SCU activities that are taking place across
the whole of Suffolk. So whether you're interested in sporting
activities, nature, academic, culture, creative or helping
others look out for the SCU logo. See
