Suffolk Highways will be carrying out improvements on the junction of Cullum Road, Parkway, Out Westgate and Westgate Street, Bury St Edmunds.
The junction improvements will involve:
- replacing the existing double mini roundabout with a single roundabout
- installing a new footpath and pedestrian crossing, with more space for cyclists to cross safely alongside pedestrians
- upgrading the street lighting and traffic signals
- converting the existing puffin crossing (signalled) in Westgate Street to a toucan crossing
Dates and timescales
The works will be carried out in two phases: day time working and night time working.
Day time working - Monday 5 June to Friday 25 August 2017
Night time working - Tuesday 29 August to Saturday 2 September 2017

The date of these works may be subject to change due to unforeseen factors such as bad weather, or the need to undertake some work at weekends to minimise significant traffic disruption or delay during the working week.
