Early Intervention Grant
1 April 2011 - 31
March 2012
The Early Intervention Grant is a new government grant that will be
used for improving outcomes for children and families. Some of the
grant will be used for the development of Early Years Professionals
in private, voluntary and independent early years and childcare
settings in Suffolk. The following changes will be implemented from
April 1st 2011.
Funding for practitioners undertaking a degree
- New starters and progression year (top up to BA) students can
apply for funding of up to £500 towards tuition fees. Information
on how to apply for this funding is on our
qualifications page.
- Continuing students have been sent a letter about funding for
their degree.
- There will no longer be a Development Incentive
Grant.
Funding for EYPs
- EYP Reward (EYPR) £3000 per year - paid in instalments. The EYP
Reward will be paid towards the end of each term for settings that
list at least one staff member with EYPS on their Early Years
Funding Qualification Form SEYF4. This means that you do not need
to submit a separate form to claim the EYPR.
- EYP Incentive (EYPI) £1000 per year - paid in instalments. The
EYP Incentive will be paid towards the end of each term for
settings who have a member of staff working towards EYPS. Working
towards means enrolled on an EYPS pathway. To claim the EYPI,
settings must submit an EYPI application form each term by the
following deadlines:
30 April 2011
31 August 2011
31 Dec 2011
