Information on Planning Applications and Highways Consultations received by Suffolk County Council

Services relating to domestic and commercial planning applications are provided by the Suffolk district and borough councils. Please log on to the Planning Portal for further information.

Suffolk County Council is responsible for determining planning applications for:

  • mineral extraction;
  • waste management facilities; and
  • its own development, for example, new roads, schools (not academy) and fire stations.
