Block play provides a vast range of experiences for children across the  Early Years Foundations Stage, and offers opportunities to develop young children's learning in all areas.

It explains the theory and practice involved with using wooden blocks as a powerful tool for enhancing a child's ability to learn and think, to work alone or communicate with others, and explore creative ideas.  

The book was developed by Frances Jenner, an early years teacher, with 26 years experiece working with children.
