Due to several proposed housing developments in the area the demand for pupil places at Claydon Primary is likely to increase over the forthcoming years. To accommodate this growth in pupil numbers a plan for new accommodation has been developed which would allow the school to increase its capacity to offer places for 75 children in each year group. The new accommodation will include a new block consisting of five classrooms, a studio, and a small hall. Some internal refurbishments to the existing school building are also being proposed.
This non-statutory pre-application planning consultation will enable us to gather the views of parents, local residents and potential building users prior to the submission of the planning application and does not affect the right to comment on the proposals during the statutory planning process.
