Adult Learning Strategy Consultation

Find out about the consultation on the council's commissioning intentions around the Adult Learning contract 2015-2019

This consultation has closed.

Adult learning plays an important role in the community and can have a huge impact on those people who didn't fulfil their expectations at school and need a second chance.

In November 2012 Suffolk County Council (SCC) divested the Adult Learning Service, with a contract to deliver the Skills Funding Agency grants as a subcontractor of the local authority. In July 2016 this agreement will end and the contract will be tendered on the open market.

This consultation has gathered feedback on the council's commissioning intentions for the new contract/s for Adult and Community Learning in Suffolk.

The Adult Learning Strategy 2015-19 was approved by the Cabinet on 14 July 2015 and sets out what SCC wants to achieve with the available funding.

Feedback from this consultation is now available.
