What is the Local Offer?

The Local Offer details the services available for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Most children and young people (up to the age of 25) with SEND will have their support provided through services listed in the Local Offer.  These services are provided by many local organisations, which include education, health and social care services.

You can use the Local Offer to find:

  • local schools and nurseries and read about the support they offer
  • groups and clubs
  • therapy and psychology services
  • social work services

More information

Some children may need a higher level of support than the Local Offer can provide. These children may require an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCPs)

The Special Education Needs Disability Information Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) provides help to parents, carers and children and young people (aged up to 25) in relation to special educational needs and disabilities.  Contact the service on 01473 265210 or email sendiass@suffolk.gov.uk.
