Raising the Bar 2015-17 Challenge Fund in partnership with the Education Endowment Foundation
Suffolk County Council's Raising the Bar programme and the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) have agreed a major partnership.
At the heart of this partnership is a new joint fund worth £600,000 to boost improvements in education across the county.
The new partnership builds on the established Raising the Bar Challenge Fund, which has seen more than 100 Suffolk schools receive in total more than £400,000 in the last two years.
Update on the Raising the Bar Challenge Fund in partnership with the Education Endowment Foundation
Schools could apply in the summer term 2016 for funding to introduce programmes and interventions that have been independently evaluated by the EEF with promising results.
Schools were able to choose from a list of nine programmes, including whole class and targeted interventions, covering maths, literacy and science.
The fund is now closed to applications.
The outcome of the funding round is that 122 schools in Suffolk will be receiving training and support on implementing programmes to improve academic outcomes for children in Suffolk.
The Challenge Fund prospectus outlines the programmes and interventions that were available for funding. While the fund is now closed, the information may help schools to choose interventions to support their school’s improvement, at their own cost.
More detailed information about the impact of the programmes can be found on the Education Endowment Foundation website.
We are currently working with EEF to develop further initiatives in Suffolk to boost improvements in education across the county.
Other opportunities for Suffolk schools
