The governance arrangements for Raising the Bar consist of three elements:

  • The Raising the Bar Programme Board, chaired by the Director for Children and Young People, is responsible for managing the effective implementation of the Raising the Bar programme. It is accountable to the School Improvement Accountability Board.
  • The Suffolk County Council School Improvement Accountability Board (SIAB) reviews the performance of the Raising the Bar 2018-20 Programme quarterly and enables Members to hold officers to account for its successful implementation.
  • The Raising the Bar Reference Group (formed from the Raising the Bar Sponsoring Group of the previous phase), provides stakeholder advice, challenge and support to the Programme Board and priority leads.
