What is the Psychology and Therapeutic Service
We are an experienced team of Child, Adolescent, Community and Educational Psychologists, Family Systemic Psychotherapist, Assistant Psychologists and Inclusion Facilitators work across Suffolk.
Our Assistant Psychologists provide a broadly based, psychological service to:
Promote and encourage person centred, inclusive practice and effective ways of working that leads to improved outcomes for children and young people, and families.
Contribute to work-based staff training.
Contribute to relevant research and developmental projects.
Contribute to the development and implementation of effective psychological interventions and evidence-based reports.
Our involvement may include:
- Direct work with your child or young people, including the people who are important to them.
- Help finding solutions to the issues they are facing.
- Working with groups of students to deliver interventions and projects.
- Working with educational and pastoral staff e.g. in training, research and project work.
Our model of support always requires there to be a ‘key adult’ closely involved in each piece of direct work that we do. This maximises the likelihood of positive outcomes and continuity.
Who do we work with?
We work with professionals, families and children and young people via educational settings. We could also become involved through collaborative work with other professionals.
