Once you have made an initial enquiry, and received our information pack, if you would like to proceed you will need to complete the Application Form Part 1 (this will be included in your information pack) and return this to us. On receipt a member of the Fostering Recruitment and Assessment Team will call you to discuss your application to foster in more detail, and if appropriate arrange a home visit with you and any other family members living in your home.
Following the home visit, the next stage in the process is to attend our Preparation Course. This course is broken down into six sessions, held over three weeks, including two Saturday's and two Wednesday evenings. Our Preparation Course will help you decide if fostering is right for you and your family, and learn the skills required to help you look after the child you foster. Dates for this year's preparation courses are as follows:

|Lowestoft||16th June / 20th June / 27th June / 30th June|
