Information events
If you would like to find out more about fostering a Suffolk child, including our new multi-dimensional treatment foster care (MTFC) programme, there are opportunities to speak to existing foster carers and social workers at events we attend or host. The next events are on the 28th and 30th May from 10am – 6pm at the MTFC office, Lothingland Units, 4 Airey Close, Lowestoft NR32 3JQ
You can also find out more by visiting our Facebook page. If you would like to know more about an event we’re attending, or would like to arrange to call into our main office in Ipswich to discuss fostering in person please call us on 0800 328 2148.
Initial visits
Once you have made an initial enquiry, and received our information pack, if you would like to proceed you will need to complete the Application Form Part 1 (this will be included in your information pack) and return this to us. On receipt a member of the Fostering Recruitment and Assessment Team will call you to discuss your application to foster in more detail, and if appropriate arrange a home visit with you and any other family members living in your home.

Following the home visit, the next stage in the process is to attend our preparation course.
