The Education Appeals Office arranges admission appeals and permanent exclusion appeals.  

These services are provided in respect of all local authority maintained in Suffolk.  They are also provided to those schools and academies in Suffolk that have arrangements in place with the Education Appeals Office. 

Admission Appeals

If you have received a letter from an Admission Authority refusing your child a place at your preferred school(s) in Suffolk you have the right to appeal that decision.

Exclusion Appeals

If your child has been permanently excluded from a Suffolk school and the governing body of the school has upheld the exclusion, you will receive a letter from them to confirm the decision.  This letter will include details of how to appeal the decision and a deadline date by which you must lodge your appeal notice.
