Pay for a licence

Find out how to pay online for a licence (SL NRSWA) or a Section 50 (NRSWA 50) licence with a licence reference number.

Some web browsers will not support online payments from Thursday 15 February 2018. Check if you need to update your browser.

Before you start

To pay online, you will need the licence reference number provided by us.

You can pay by debit or credit card.

Licence (SL NRSWA)

You can pay online for licences including:

  • skip licence, extensions and penalty charges
  • scaffolding licence, extensions and penalty charges
  • container, cabins, welfare facilities units licence, extensions and penalty charges
  • builder materials licence, extensions and penalty charges
  • non-illuminated banners and Christmas decorations licence, extensions and penalty charges
  • mobile elevating works platform licence, extensions and penalty charges

When entering your licence or licence reference number, please add 000 before the given 5 digit number. For example, NRSWA-LICENCE-00011111.

Pay for a licence

Section 50 licence for apparatus placed in the highway (NRSWA S50)

For apparatus (such as water supply) being placed in the highway by a contractor, which is maintained by the owner of the apparatus and not a utility company.

When entering your S50 reference number, please add 00 before the given 5 digit number. For example, NRSWA-S50-0011111.

If you are a Lloyds customer, you may have difficulty using the above sort code and account number. Therefore, please use the following:

  • Sort Code: 30-00-02
  • Account Number: 01305978

You also need to email networkassurance@suffolk.gov.uk with both the:

  • licence or licence reference number which relates to the payment
  • amount being paid

Cheque 

Send a cheque payable to Suffolk County Council to:

There'll be a delay to the process by 7 days, until authorisation of cheque clearance has been received.

Payment must be accompanied by the licence application or the licence or licence reference number covered by the payment and the amount being paid in relation to each number.

A receipt will be provided on request.
