New Look For The School Travel Pass

This summer, Suffolk County Council is asking all users of county council school and college transport to provide a photograph that will be incorporated in their travel pass.

This will bring Suffolk in line with neighbouring local authorities, standard education transport practice across the country and travel concession schemes for senior citizens and disabled persons.

The benefits to introducing photos to the travel pass include stopping fraud, preventing illegal duplication of the passes, increase the likelihood of a lost pass being handed in and improve safety on transport.

Students will also be offered a zero-cost option of using their existing Explore card image.

The county council will be writing to all parents/guardians to explain the next stages.
