The
county’s transport network, which includes roads, pavements,
lighting and bridges as well as Public Rights of Way and passenger
transport assets, is one of Suffolk County Council’s most valuable
assets. The management of this network to meet the needs
of current and future customers is one of our main
responsibilities.
The first Suffolk
Transport Asset Management Plan (PDF,
3.22Mb) (TAMP) sets out how we aim to achieve this and has been
approved by Suffolk County Council's Cabinet to assist with the
allocation of funding. The TAMP covers the period from 2006 to
2011, the same as the Council's Local Transport Plan.
The Transport Asset Management Plan will be updated for approval by
the Cabinet during
2010-11.
