Ipswich - Transport Fit for the 21st Century
The county council has developed a major transport scheme
'Ipswich - Transport Fit for the 21st Century'. This scheme will
improve the way that everyone gets around Ipswich and will help to
support future employment and housing growth in the town. The
scheme includes rebuilt bus stations, a state of the art
computerised traffic management and information system, real time
bus information and improvements to make it easier to walk and
cycle around Ipswich town centre. We estimate that the scheme will
cost about £22 million.
