- We will develop a system which will provide up to date incident
information to crews at fire stations, enabling them to target
their plans according to their local risks.
- We will review our new planning and prioritisation process to
ensure that it is delivering the benefits that we intended.
- We will implement Project Matrix, the County Council’s improved
financial management system.
- We will work with the County’s Securing the Future programme to
ensure that benefits are realised and performance continues to
improve.
- We will review the provision of external support and look at
opportunities to generate efficiencies or reduce costs.
- We will ensure that the procurement of fire engines, property
and equipment is carried out sensitively to reduce carbon
emissions. This will contribute to our continued commitment to
improving our environmental performance through the County’s
Environmental Action Plan.
- We will review property management arrangements and
opportunities to generate efficiencies or reduce costs. This will
include implementing our PFI project after final Government
approval. We will also take this opportunity to refurbish our fire
stations and to develop proposals for a new training
centre.
