Suffolk County Council, in Partnership with the relevant District
Councils, operate five business development centres throughout the
county to encourage new business and business growth. These
centres provide fully serviced, managed premises including
professional services such as reception, phone and
broadband. Easy in/easy out tenancy is offered. This
gives businesses the right to leave at one months notice and
provides tenants with the flexibility to expand without the
commitment of a long term agreement.
East Suffolk Business Centre (Leiston)
The prestigious premises at
East Suffolk Business
Centre, provide a pleasant working environment and are located
just east of the small but bustling town centre of Leiston.
They offer 27 office and light assembly units in a range of
sizes.
Hadleigh Business and Learning Centre (Hadleigh)
The premises at the
Hadleigh Business and
Learning Centre, provide easy access to the A14 and A12
for Ipswich, the Midlands, Colchester and London. They offers
24 office units an on-site nursery with 50 day places and a Suffolk
Institute of Technology on-site learning point.
North East Suffolk Business Centre (Lowestoft)
NESBC is Located on Pinbush Road in Lowestoft. This is
within easy reach of Lowestoft town centre and the A12. It offers
29 units with a mix of office, commercial and light industrial
space, all finished to a high quality and with a range of different
sizes from 16m² to 67m².

These projects were part-financed by the European
Union through ERDF.
Riverside Business Centre (Lowestoft)
The
Riverside Business Centre is Located at Riverside Road, which
is also near to Lowestoft town centre. It offers 38 office units
finished to a high quality, with a range of 9 different
sizes.
South Suffolk Business Centre (Sudbury)
The
South Suffolk
Business centre is located in the heart of the business and
industrial area but only a short distance from the town centre and
station. It offers 24 units in a variety of different
sizes.
OrbisEnergy (Lowestoft)
OrbisEnergy is based at Ness Point, Lowestoft
and will be a specialist Centre for the renewable energy sector
that will comprise of flexible office accommodation, conference
area and library facilities. The centre opens in autumn 2008.

centres in the county that are run by other public, private and
voluntary sector bodies:
IP-City
Centre (Ipswich) on Ipswich's Waterfront is the first of its
kind in the UK and offers companies the chance to grow and
prosper.
Vision
Centre (Bury St Edmunds) and Hollands Business Centre
(Haverhill). Both centres have quality secure units and tenants
enjoy shared central services - reception, photocopying,
mail/parcel services, meeting/interview rooms, kitchen and
toilets.
Felaw Maltings
(Ipswich). The serviced workspace gives new businesses the
opportunity to start in a small way and then grow. It is located in
the Waterfront area of Ipswich that is undergoing exciting
redevelopment and promises to be a new cultural, residential and
business centre for the town.
The Technology Centre in
Framlingham has been designed with the busy hitech start-up in
mind, so you can move in and start working straight away, with
telephone and data links laid on.
Aspire in Lowestoft is
a purpose-built building on the site of Denes High School on
Yarmouth Road with easy access from the A12 between Lowestoft and
Gt. Yarmouth. Aspire is designed to support social enterprises,
encourage new start up businesses and provide community training
facilities. Together with a Conference Room seating up to 50, an IT
training room and smaller meeting rooms there are also various
