Countryside Service

Making the countryside accessible to all, whilst protecting and enhancing the wildlife.

Working closely with the local community, landowners and various environmental organisations, Suffolk County Council's Countryside Service aims to provide a countryside that is attractive, and accessible to all sections of the community, while safeguarding and enhancing its wildlife, natural and historic features.

The Countryside Service includes rangers, project officers, administrative support, rights of way staff and a county wide service including ecology and landscape officers.

The service also runs events for the public and works with schools to enable learning using the site resources.

We promote the use of public transport to access the
countryside and encourage you to telephone the national traveline on 0870 608 2 608 for timetable information.

Where public transport is limited, you may find the AA Routeplanner system helpful in planning your route.

We welcome your feedback and suggestions.
