Reproduction fees

Reproduction charges from 3 November 2008

Material is normally supplied for non-exclusive use for one specified purpose/one time use or edition only. The Suffolk Record Office must be contacted and the fee re-negotiated if any further use is contemplated (including reprints or subsequent editions). Reproduction fees don’t include charges for images supplied by the record office. English Language* rights are interpreted as being either UK only, UK, Commonwealth and Canada, North America only or UK and North America. If a publisher requires UK, Commonwealth, Canada & North America this would be Worldwide rights

Academic rates: if authors are required by their publisher to pay for black and
white illustrations themselves then a reduced reproduction fee of £19.57 is available
if the publication is:
  • Of special academic interest
  • Published by a University Press or equivalent
  • Has a print run of 2000 or fewer
  • Or is eligible for the HEFC research assessment exercise
Three copies will be required by the Record Office for the collection if local relevance
