What we do
The Bury St Edmunds Record Office handles original
documents for the western parishes of Suffolk. If you
want more information why not get in touch with us?
Where we are
The office is situated opposite the New Shire Hall and the
Police Station. Visitors travelling on the A14 from Cambridge or
Ipswich should leave at the Bury St Edmunds East exit.
Free car parking is available behind Shire Hall. The car park
barrier is controlled Monday to Friday by a voice link to
reception. On Saturdays ask at the Record Office reception for a
free pass to give to the car park attendant. Two disabled parking
bays are available in the pay and display car park adjacent to the
building.
British Rail Bury St Edmunds Station is roughly one mile
north of the office. The office is not on a bus route but there is
a taxi rank at the railway station.
