National Bookstart Day

To celebrate
National
Bookstart Day on Friday 10 October, the children from Brambles
Nursery (based at Reydon and Southwold Children's Centre) were
treated to a pirate storytime down on Southwold Pier.
The event was held in the pier's "Mermaids and Pirates" shop and
saw the 25 preschool children listening to nautical stories,
singing sea shanties, colouring in the skull and crossbones, and
dressing up as pirates. Stories were read by Southwold
library's manager Charlotte Clark, also in her best pirate
outfit. Afterwards the pier very kindly provided refreshments
for the children.

Sunday ICT sessions
1.00pm - 3.30pm
If you are unfamiliar with
the internet and would like a one to one training session or
sessions this is the thing for you. From complete beginners to
those who would like guidance on email or particular
websites. ICT sessions are half an hour long and you can come
back as many times as you like. To book a session please phone or
visit Southwold Library.
