Mondays (from September) Mornings UK Online computer basics sessions covering using email, using the Internet safely and using online searches. Please contact the library to book.
Tuesdays 10.00am-10.30am Baby Bounce - soothing songs and gentle nursery rhymes for babies and their grown-ups
Thursdays 10.00am-10.30am Tot Rock- rhyme and rhythm: music, songs and action rhymes for toddlers with their parents and carers
Thursdays 10.30am-11.30am Top Time - Older Persons social group
Sundays 10.0am-3.00pm Sunday craft activities and colouring
Sundays (every four weeks) 12.00pm-1.00pm Sunday adult book club - see blog

Bookstart

Bookstart logoWe run two Bookstart activities for pre-school children every week.
Tuesdays   Baby Bounce    10.00am - 10.30am
Thursdays  Tot Rock          10.00am - 10.30am


Both sessions include a short storytime session for the last 10 minutes.  We leave the toys out for a while after the sessions so parents can stay for a chat while their children play.

UK Online sessions

We run basic computer skills sessions on Monday mornings covering using email, using the internet safely and using online searches. Please contact the library to find out more and book your place.

Offers are invited for two first edition books for sale in Newmarket library:

Top Time

This weekly group, meeting on Thursdays, has a varied programme of activities for older people and carers.

Sunday activities

Come and enjoy our children's craft activities every Sunday at Newmarket Library.  Sunday activities are suitable for children of all ages unless otherwise specified.  They run from 11.00am to 3.00pm and there is also colouring available to do throughout the day.

Sunday Adult Book Club

The group meets on a Sunday between 12.00pm and 1.00pm every four weeks (although this can vary with agreement from members). The meetings are a friendly and social occasion, please contact Nina on 01638 661216 or by email: ninabookclub@hotmail.co.uk for more information.

4 December No title this month, bring your favourite read and introduce it to the group. We will not be meeting in the library but having coffee at the Bushall pub, Market Street, Town Centre, Newmarket at 11.00am.

West Suffolk Voluntary Association for the Blind visit to Newmarket library

Feeling Well Event - World Sight Day
On Wednesday 20 October 
the charity West Suffolk Voluntary Association for the Blind visited the library for World Sight Day. They had a display of different aids to help those with sight loss live a more independent life.

Feeling Well Event - Apple Day
On Thursday 21 October Mr David Evans, owner of Feltons Orchard in Barrow, visited the library for Apple Day. David bought in a selection of apples from his orchard.
