National Year of Reading

As part of Suffolk's celebration of the
National Year of Reading Mildenhall library was
visited by the author
Michael Hardcastle on Tuesday 8 April.
On Friday 12 September author
Ian Whybrow visited the library. We had a fantastic morning
with about 60 children attending including two classes from St
Mary's Primary School along with their teachers and classroom
assistants plus a few others! Ian read two of his books, 'Harry and
the dinosaurs go to school' and 'Harry and The Robot', a poem
called the 'Bathtime Boogy' and also a rhyme about a caterpillar
crawling up the wall! The children had a great time acting out
parts and interacting with the stories.
