Checkmates
Checkmates Chess club meets on Thursdays during term time from
5.00pm - 6.00pm in the library coffee shop. New members age 9 - 16

Top Time - Time Out
This weekly group for older people meets every Tuesday
2.00pm - 3.30pm at
Lowestoft Library - in the Meeting Room.
Time Out offers people the chance to get together for a cup of tea,
a chat, and to join in with a planned event or activity.

Sunday Craft
Sessions
1.30pm - 2.30pm every Sunday in the Junior Library,
children under 8
years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Sundays with Dad on the last Sunday of the month start at
11.30am. There will be lots of
messy activities so remember to wear your old
clothes!
Holiday Xtra
Free activities and workshops for children in the school
holidays.
There will be board games and craft sessions,
a cheerleading workshop and an opportunity for children
to make a model solar system at the Holiday Xtra sessions on
Wednesday afternoons in August. Age restrictions may apply to some
sessions and places are limited so booking is required.
Family Fun for toddlers and younger children, combines
Storytime, Tot Rock and a craft activity and will be held every
Wednesday morning in the meeting room. Places must be booked in
advance.
Checkmates chess club for children over 8 years old, is
Saturday mornings in the meeting room, from 10am to 12 midday,
throughout the school summer holidays.

Come and join our reading group on the last Tuesday of every

Lowestoft Library Writers' Group
Lowestoft Library Writers’ Group meets on the second Tuesday of
the month at 6.45pm in the Navigator Centre on the ground
floor.
Everyone is welcome from absolute beginners to experienced
writers and admission is free. So why not come along to find out
about this new monthly group, share ideas and meet up with other
writers.
Advance booking is not necessary although library membership is
desirable.
