Flower Display in the Church of St. Peter and Paul,
Kedington
 |
In October Kedington Library had a flower display in the
Church of St. Peter and Paul along with other local businesses and
clubs.
Thank you to Jane Helliwell (our recently retired Library Manager)
and Chris Pellegrini (one of our Sunday Officers) for producing our
display. |
Teddy Bears' Picnic and Sports Day
On Thursday 7 August we had a Teddy Bears' Picnic and
Sports Day as part of the the Summer Reading Challenge,
Team Read. We had a great turn out despite the poor
weather causing us to take shelter in the village hall! We
still managed to have some games, races and a storytime and
the children brought along
their teddy bears or soft toys.
This was a particularly special day as the Kedington Library
Manager, Jane Helliwell retired, therefore it was also a
chance for her to say goodbye to the children in Kedington
on her last day at the library.
National Year of Reading

As part of Suffolks celebration of the
National
Year of Reading, author
Ian Whybrow visited Kedington Library on Tuesday 5
February. Children were able to meet the author of the famous
'Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs book' and listen to him tell
some of his stories.
Kedington Library drop-in sessions
In April, an officer from Bury St Edmunds Borough
Council, Core Strategy Issues and Options, was in
Kedington Library giving residents a chance to express their views
and help formulate the next twenty year Local Plan.
Celebrating 101st birthday
On behalf of Suffolk Libraries, Jane Helliwell, Manager of
Kedington Library presented regular library visitor Grace Jolly
