Congratulations to the  Children (Word, 64Kb) who have finished this years reading challenge ... Team Read.

Draw winner with footballer Moritz VolzPaige is the winner!

Ten year old Paige won a recent competition run by Suffolk Libraries after she joined the Team Read at the launch at Ipswich Town Football Club at the beginning of the school summer holidays,

Paige was presented with a football signed by the Ipswich Town footballers by Councillor Graham Newman, Portfolio Holder for Adult and Community Service, local Councillor Bill Quinton and Ipswich Town defender Moritz Volz at a special event held at Gainsborough Library on 22 September.

Toy library only available at The Tree House on Tuesdays 10.00am - 12 noon.

Just Friends - Top Time group for older people

Members of Just FriendsJoin us at The Tree House every Monday 1.00pm - 3.00pm.

It's a good chance to meet with people, have a good chat and have fun with the varied selection of activities and events -  find out more here or contact the library.


 
 

Brownies and Guides on a sleepoverSpecial event - Sleepover in the library

Starting on Saturday 14 June 22 local Brownies & Guides (pictured below), with their Guiders, spent the night at the library to raise money for Save the Children. 

Activities included a library treasure hunt, an indoor camp fire and a 2 minute group tooth brushing session in the morning.

Special event - National Falls Awareness Day

On Tuesday 24 June, an afternoon event was held to raise awareness for National Falls Awareness Day. The afternoon included gentle dancing with DanceEast, exercise to music and advice on first aid and nutrition.
