at Debenham received their medals from Councillor Eddy Alcock on a
lovely sunny day in September.
Special event - Debenham Street Fayre
On Sunday 15 June (Father's Day) Debenham Resource Centre
held a special event, opening the library for extra
hours, joining in the community fun and festivities for
Debenham Street Fayre.
Children painted portraits of their Dad on plates and made father's
day cards, and adults browsed a big second hand book sale and
"Deals for Dads" on second hand DVDs.
Over 150 people visited the library including local county
councillor Eddy Alcock (pictured in photo below) and several people
joined the library that day. Bookstart packs were given out to
babies and toddlers, and the
National Year of Reading was promoted with giveaway balloons
and leaflets.
National Year of Reading - Author

On Friday 10 October at 2.00pm, as part of our
National Year of Reading celebrations, children's author
Jane Hissey visited the library.
